How the assessment works

Four steps, four to six weeks, then a check at 90 days. Here is what happens at each step and what we need from you.

  1. 1

    Intake

    Week 1

    • A 30-minute call to see if the assessment fits. If it doesn't, we say so.
    • You fill in a short intake questionnaire. Best estimates are fine.
    • You send the records we ask for — headcount, turnover, incidents, training. No worker names, SINs or health details.
    • We confirm sites, dates and who we will interview. You get a fixed price and an engagement letter in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you: One contact person, the intake form, and your records.

  2. 2

    In the field

    Weeks 2–3

    • Private interviews with owners, managers, superintendents and foremen — nobody is quoted by name.
    • An anonymous worker survey. Workers scan a QR code on the site poster and answer on their phone in 10–15 minutes. No names, no sign-in.
    • Site walks to see how toolbox talks, hazard assessments and supervision really work.
    • A review of your safety program, training and HR records, and a cost calculation built from your own numbers.

What we need from you: Access to sites and people during work hours, and permission for workers to answer honestly.

  3. 3

    Findings

    Weeks 4–6

    • Every risk is scored the same way — how likely, how bad — with a yearly cost attached.
    • A plain-language findings report, a scored risk register and a 30/60/90-day action plan with owners and dates.
    • A 90-minute debrief with your leadership to go through the results and build the plan together.
    • Survey results are shown only for groups of five or more.

What we need from you: Your decision maker at the debrief.

  4. 4

    90-day follow-up

    About 3 months later

    • We check which actions were done and re-measure: departures, early quits, near misses and a short worker pulse check.
    • You see what changed in your own numbers.

What we need from you: Honest numbers for the check.

After the assessment

You own the report and the plan, and many contractors run it themselves. If you want help, we can build the fixes with your team — orientation and buddy systems, foreman leadership training, a safety program in your name, and a monthly scorecard — then hand it over so your people run it.

There is no obligation, and any help is quoted in writing first.

What it will and won't do

It shows you where the money and the risk are, ranked, with a plan your own people can run. It is not a COR audit, an OHS inspection or legal advice, and we do not guarantee savings or results — those depend on how the plan is used.
